Scalextric McLaren F1 GTR Papaya Orange 1:32 Slot Car
To celebrate the victorious result for McLaren at the 1995 LeMans 24 hours, five special cars designated as the McLaren F1 LM (for LeMans) were commissioned by McLaren. These cars featured a reduction in weight, achieved by removing the sound deadening in the interior, as well as the absence of an audio system and no fan-assisted ground effect. The aerodynamics were also modified, and all examples were finished in the striking color of Papaya Orange as a tribute to Bruce McLaren.
These McLaren F1 LM models are the ultimate short-tail road-going variants, producing a total of 680HP due to their race-tuned engines. While their top speed is less than that of the standard car due to the drag of the rear wing, they achieve their acceleration in a far more brutal manner.
The DPR - Digital Plug Ready - takes the Scalextric C8515 digital plug for easy upgrade to race on Scalextric Digital or Scalextric ARC PRO Layouts. The car is highly detailed, with a full interior and racer-inspired design. It also features working Xenon effect headlights and working tail lights, as well as an easy-change braid with magnatraction.
This car is compatible with all 1:32nd scale Analog slot car race tracks, including ARC ONE and ARC AIR.
