Scalextric McLaren F1 GTR FIA GT 1997 Nürburgring 1:32 Slot Car
After being persuaded by 'gentleman racer' Ray Bellm, legendary race car designer Gordon Murray set about designing a racing variant of the McLaren F1 sports car, the McLaren F1 GTR, which was produced specifically for grand touring style racing in 1995. The early shape McLaren F1s found themselves with privateer teams such as BBA Competition after their reign of dominance was ended by newer GT cars from the likes of Porsche and Mercedes, as well as updated longtail F1 GTRs. This outstanding car proves that what the team lacked in outright pace against the might of the new factory cars, they more than made up for in eye-catching liveries.
The Digital Plug Ready version of this model takes a Scalextric C8515 Digital plug for easy upgrade to race on Scalextric Digital Layouts. The car features race number 25, competed in the FIA GT Nurburgring event, and was raced by the BBA Competition team with drivers David Velay and Jean-Luc Maury-Laribière in 1997. The car has working Xenon Effect Headlights and working tail lights, and is equipped with easy-change braid with magnatraction. This 1:32nd scale Analog Slot Car is compatible with all Slot Car Race Tracks.
