To upgrade your existing analog slot car set, you will need a Scalextric Digital Powerbase C8435 with Digital Hand Controllers C8438, digital lane change pieces, and upgrade your cars with the Digital Plug Ready (DPR) Chip, C8515 for a standard car or C8516 for open wheel/single seaters.

Buying a Scalextric Digital Set would allow you to upgrade your analog set the quickest, but all the parts can be purchased separately. You can modify the acceleration characteristics of your car from 5 preconfigured acceleration graphs, with the added ability to limit the maximum power to suit your racing style. The new Arcade race mode allows you to pick up power-ups to influence your opponent's race, slowing them to a crawl among the other 7 available race modes. ARC PRO also enables you to race a ghost car.
