To upgrade your existing analog slot car set, you will need a Scalextric Digital Powerbase C8435 with Digital Hand Controllers C8438, digital lane change pieces and upgrade your cars with the Digital Plug Ready (DPR) Chip, C8515 for a standard car, C8516 for open wheel/ single seaters and C7005 for slot cars that are not DPR (The conversion requires hobbyist skills and some tools including a soldering iron).

Buying a Scalextric Digital Set would allow you to upgrade your analog set the quickest, but all the parts can be purchased separately! Compatible with older Scalextric Digital options or Upgrade to the newest Scalextric Digital Powerbase options, App Race Control (ARC) Pro. The in-car microprocessor module allows the conversion of a standard Scalextric car to work on Scalextric Digital layouts. Most Scalextric cars, from 1957 to current date, can be converted to digital operation. The conversion requires hobbyist skills and some tools including a soldering iron. For Digital Plug Ready Cars (DPR) use the C8515 Easy Fit Digital Plug or C8516 F1 Easy Fit Digital Plug.
